FARELINE

News

What changed in each version of FARELINE, the free airline strategy game, newest first. The latest is version 1.0.8, from 10 October 2026. The version you have is shown at the foot of the game menu.

Version 1.0.8: the fare dial explained

  • HOW IT WORKS now explains the fare dial as it works. One end gives the most loyalty, the other the most revenue, and every step between trades some of one for the other.
  • On a small computer window the shop keeps one size as you buy, sell and reroll. When it cannot show everything, it scrolls inside and its buttons stay in view.
  • On a small computer window the scoreboard beside the map keeps to its place, and every number on it can be read.

Version 1.0.7: one size for every card

  • On a computer the cards in a hand now share one size and one layout, whatever they show. Picking a card, moving the price or seeing its effects never changes the size of a card, the hand or the map.
  • The cards in the opening offer, the rows of the routes list and the perks of a takeover bid are one size too. The opening offer keeps one size on both of its tabs.
  • The shop keeps its size as you buy and sell perks, on every computer screen but the smallest. Free places for perks show as empty frames.

Version 1.0.6: made for big screens

  • On a computer the game now fills the whole window as one screen: the bar on top, the map in the middle, and your cards in one row along the bottom.
  • ROUTES, CONFIRM and the price sit together in the centre, right under your cards.
  • Wide and ultrawide screens give the extra room to the map, and the text grows in sharp steps on big screens. A button at the top right switches to full screen.

Version 1.0.5: steady ads, wide screens

  • From the last year of a run on, the ad comes one quarter earlier, after the quarter-4 shop, and never after the last boss. The shop says so first.
  • On a wide computer screen the board sat in a side column with the map beside it. Version 1.0.6 replaced this.

Version 1.0.4: sign in, save map, steady cards

  • You can sign in with Google in Settings, ACCOUNT, and keep your progress on every phone and browser. You never have to.
  • SAVE MAP saves the poster of your network again. In the Android app it opens the share sheet.
  • Cards and the hand keep their size while you choose, and the map fits again after you turn the phone.
  • The Android app shows one full-screen ad a game year, when you leave the shop after the boss quarter. The shop tells you first.

Version 1.0.3: steady map, tidy header

  • Aircraft keep their speed at every zoom. A flight takes as long on a zoomed-in globe as on the whole map.
  • The buttons at the top of the board line up and share one size, with their icons centred.

Version 1.0.2: the look update

  • Sentences in the game now use its pixel lettering.
  • Aircraft on the map fly at half their old speed, and turboprops fly slower than jets. Each line still shows as many aircraft as its flights and its length put in the air.
  • The aircraft on the map grow as you zoom in on your network.
  • Airline names are checked more closely.

Version 1.0.1: names on the boards

  • Airline names and codes are checked against a word list in many languages before they reach a board.
  • You can report a name on a board. A name that breaks the rules is hidden, and every board shows a generated name in its place.
  • The boards from 1.0.0 carry on.

Version 1.0.0: the first release

The first release of FARELINE: five levels, 160 airports, 27 bosses, the Daily Challenge, MILES, 58 achievements and the Hangar. The boards start empty, on season 1.

  • Ranked runs on a grid of continents and levels, with world, continent and airport boards.
  • Freeplay from any airport, with its own setup sheet and Workshop upgrades.
  • Your airline: name, code, emblem, colours and a livery, on your map and on the boards.
  • FEEDBACK in the menu sends a report straight to us.
